Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is an essential oil that is obtained from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia plant that grows native in Australia. Tea tree oil is used topically, as the oil contains constituents called terpenoids, which have antiseptic and anti-fungal benefits. Tea tree oil is used in a variety of conditions including:

• Dandruff
• Acne
• Eczema
• Psoriasis
• Athlete’s foot

These are just a handful of the many topical uses of tea tree oil. Tea tree oil should never be taken internally.
