Ginseng

There are several different types of ginseng plants that are used in supplements today, each with its own benefits.

Siberian ginseng (Chinese ginseng) is generally used as an adaptogen, which means that it can strengthen the body and increase resistance to daily stress. It is commonly used for ailments of the heart such as high or low blood pressure, hardening of the arteries and rheumatic heart disease.

Ginseng supplements in general may prove beneficial for promoting a steady energy without typical stimulant side effects.
