D-Aspartic Acid

D-Aspartic Acid is an alpha-amino acid. Aspartic acid is one of the 20 common amino acids that are used by the body to construct proteins. The D-version of aspartic acid is an isomer of aspartic acid.

D-Aspartic acid has been shown to enhance gonadotropin releasing hormone (GRH) release, as well as growth hormone and luteinizing hormone. The sodium version of D-Aspartic acid has also been shown to increase testosterone production. This is a two-fold benefit, as supplementing with D-Aspartic acid increases the release and production of testosterone.
